Just last Thursday one of the biggest names in the music industry, Michael Jackson, passed away at the age of 50 from a heart attack. Reports show that Michael was not dead when he reached the hospital but he died soon after. Michael’s personal doctor, who was on scene when the heart attack took place, is now being questioned by the Los Angeles police department.
The first autopsy that was done on Michael took place on Friday. However, since a cause of death could not be found, the Jackson family is now seeking out a second autopsy to be done. Many questions have already been raised about the singers relationship to prescription medication.
Dr Conrad Murray, who is Michael’s personal physician, was with the singer when his heart attack first happened. Before being called in for questioning about the death of Michael, the doctor hired a law firm.
Th Houston law firm that Dr Conrad hired, Stradley, Chernoff & Alford, said that Dr Murray was not a suspect in the death of Michael - he is just being questioned as a witness. The law firm says that they have been hired to simply walk Dr Conrad through the investigation and to makes sure that the police play fair during the investigation as well.
Many media sources have already said that Michael had been injected with the narcotic painkiller Demerol just shortly before his heart attack took place. Dr Murray was trying to revive Mr Jackson when the paramedics arrived.
Although the official autopsy failed to find out what caused the death of Michael, the toxicology test is still out and will not return for almost six weeks.
