The Great Expectation office in Milwaukee has now violated the Wisconsin “no call law,” exaggerated its number of participants, as well as misrepresented its prices. All of this has brought on a lawsuit that was filed by the Justice Department of Wisconsin.

Just last Thursday, in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin accused Great Expectations, as well as its parent company JRM Management LLC, of illegal sales practices. The Justice Department of Wisconsin will be seeking between $50 to $10,000 per violation and restitution to customers. However, the lawsuit does not show how many violations have occurred on behalf of Great Expectations.

The phone message that was left on the JRM Management LLC headquarters in Dallas was not immediately returned. On top of this, the company did not immediately respond to e-mails seeking comments either. In the lawsuit, it is stated that JRM Management LLC runs about 50 Great Expectations offices around the nation. This includes the one in Wauwatosa, which is a Milwaukee suburb.

When members sign up for Great Expectations, they have access to a database of photos, profiles, and videos of other members. However, what most people that sign up for Great Expectations do not know is that one of these memberships costs upwards of around several thousand dollars.

The lawsuit brought on the company says that Great Expectations searches non-affiliated websites for names of Milwaukee singles. Then they call these singles, which sometimes violates the do not call statue. The lawsuit also states that the company overstates the number of members that they have and the number of members in certain age groups.
