Well it seems that the dating rumor about Billy Corgan, the frontman for the band Smashing Pumpkins, has denied dating Jessica Simpson. He went on to say that these reports, for whatever reason, make him feel like a cartoon.

Jessica Simpson, actress and singer, was first linked to the punk rocker back in December of last year. The rumor was started after the two were seen enjoying a night out together. Once again, as soon as people are seen out together in Hollywood, everyone just assumes that they are dating.

Simpson spoke out to insist that she was not dating Billy Corgan. In fact, she said that she was single. She’d only been spending time with Corgan while they worked on a song together. At the start of everything, Corgan had been very coy about commenting on any of the stories. However, he has not recently spoken out against them.

Mr Corgan said that the stuff that he has seen does not have any bearing to the reality that he is in. He said it almost feels like these rumors are talking about a cartoon version of himself. Overall, the rumors have nothing to do with how he really feels.

Apparently the two had just been working on a theme song together. He said that he ended up writing part of the theme song to Simpson’s, The Price of Beauty TV show. According to reports Jessica had asked Billy for some help, and he chose to help her.

So once again, the two are not dating, and never were dating. This is just yet another example of the media making too much out of nothing.
