When this year’s Super Bowl rolls around fans can expect to see a lot of great ads that can only be seen during this time of the year. However, one ad that will not be seen this year is the ad by ManCrunch.com for its dating website.

People all over are talking about the news of a gay dating website being turned down by CBS to run an ad during the Super Bowl. CBS went on to say that the ManCrunch dating website ad will not run, because CBS Standards and Practices department decided not to accept this particular spot. CBS went on to say that their sales department has had a difficult time verifying the organization’s credit status.

Experts go on to say, what that really means, is that CBS is not comfortable running this material during one of the biggest televised events of the year. The 30 second ad was going to feature two men watching a football game when they suddenly reach for chips at the same time. After their hands meet, they immediately begin kissing. The humor comes from a third man, that ad watchers did not know was there until the camera zooms out, and his expression. The ad ends with the sites tag line, ManCrunch.com, where many, many men come out to play.

Of course, some experts do say that ManCrunch has already achieved its goal. By being turned down by CBS, the site has generated a lot of buzz without even having to pay the hearty price tag that goes with running an ad during the Super Bowl. Some say that running an ad during the Super Bowl, a 30 second ad, will cost between $2.5 million and $3 million.
