BeautifulPeople.com Dating Site Turns Away 5,000 Members

So far, about 5,000 members of the very popular dating site, BeautifulPeople.com, have found out the hard way that they are not good looking enough to be part of the site. BeautifulPeople.com is one of the dating and network sites that is well known for only excepting attractive individuals and has literally placed a ban on ugly people.

Of course, this seems like a story that has been covered before right? This is a site that has rejected way more than just 5,000 people, so what’s so special about these 5,000? Well, these 5,000 that have recently been rejected by BeautifulPeople.com were already members. These are members that were kicked from the site, because they put on a few extra holiday pounds.

The founder of BeautifulPeople.com, Robert Hintze, said that as a business, they mourn the loss of any member. However, the fact remains that their members demand a high standard of beauty to, not only be achieved once, but upheld. Letting fatties roam the site is a direct threat to their business model and the whole concept of their business, he added.

This brings up another question about how these so called “fatties” get flagged and banned from the site. Well apparently other members who were angry that a now fatter member was still on the site, demanded action, and the larger members got kicked. The managing director of BeautifulPeople.com, Greg Hodge, said that they responded to complaints by moving the newly chubby members back to the rating stage. Then they go through the same process that they did when they first applied.

Well, sadly enough, this is one of the few online dating sites that actually responds very quickly to its members. Thus, all 5,000 members were kicked during the holiday season or shortly after.
