Two television shows are just arriving for Valentine’s Day, Millionaire Matchmaker and Wingman. Millionaire Matchmaker is not new to television, as it has already aired for one season, while Wingman is a totally new show and view of giving dating advice and is to premier for the first time.
Millionaire Matchmaker is a show starring Patti Stanger, the author of ‘Become Your Own Matchmaker’, who gives blunt advice to rich women and men about dating. In the show, they follow Stanger around Los Angeles while she helps wealthy clients look for the spouse of their dreams. The second season premier is to show on Thursday at 10pm on Bravo. The series will have a new twist during the next season, with female millionairesses, as well as gay millionaires, being added to the mix. One of these female millionairesses includes a 40-year-old who is gorgeous and the CEO of a fashion label.
Yesterday at 9pm on the Fine Living Network, Wingman premiered its first show. This show was created and is hosted by Michael Somerville, a comedian and columnist for Glamour Magazine’s ‘Jake (A Man’s Opinion)’. This new series is filmed in New York and aims to give solutions for the problems of people who have a dating dilemma. These solutions are to result from relying on the humor of Somerville and the aid of a different relationship expert every week. In an interview, Somerville gave examples of challenges in dating that people face on the show, including not knowing when someone is flirting with them and not knowing where start after being divorced.
