Although fans of the hit show “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ seem to have really thrived on the divorce drama that hit the show - in fact, it brought in a record 10 million viewers - they may soon be disappointed when they find out what is in store for them on the August 3 return of the show.

Apparently a number of sources have said that the viewers will get to see single parenting, but they will not get to see the stars of the show dating. This is because the stars will not be allowed to date. Thus, for all of the people out there that were desperately hoping that they would get the inside track to the dating rituals of Jon Gosselin, need to think again.

A source that is close to production of the show says that there will be no girlfriends in the show at all. The viewers will see Jon and Kate parenting separately. The main focus of the show is going to be on the kids interacting with their parents one at a time and not who the parents are dating or not dating.

In a sneak peek of the next episode, people saw that Kate Gosselin was struggling to be a single mom of eight. As for Jon, most people have been trying to keep up with what woman he is dating next. One moment he will be dating one girl, and then turn around and date someone else the next week. Sources have said that Jon is struggling to rebound from his failed marriage, and it’s something that can be hard to do in the spotlight.
