When it comes to Evan Rachel Wood and her relationships, it’s no secret that she likes dating older men. Her past dating record, which includes Marilyn Manson and Mickey Rourke, prove this. Now the Hollywood star has moved on to actor Shane West. Thus, this brings up the question, what does this 21-year-old actress find so appealing about older men?

Evan responded to this question by saying it just “works” for her. She went on to say that it just seems like she has more in common with older guys. Evan said that when she was younger she hung around older people, and she guesses that may play a roll in it as well.

Miss Wood did point out, age aside, if Adam Lambert (the runner up from American Idol) was single and straight, she would totally go for him. She says that she just would not be able to help herself. She went on to say that he has a great voice, and talent is very sexy to her. She also likes how he’s androgynous and wears whatever he wants.

Of course, Wood does say that she does not stress over the conceptions people have of her, and she makes a conscious career decision not to be just another Hollywood stereotype. Wood pointed out that when she was a kid she was not too rebellious and was, overall, a pretty good kid. Her parents were very strict, so it was not until she was 18 that she went wild. Evan said that she tried to fit into certain molds that people wanted her to be, but it just did not work out for her.
