Five Reasons you SHOULDN’T check your partner’s phone!

Would you check your partner’s phone? That way leads to trouble…

1.    Well the main reason you shouldn’t be checking your partners phone is because it is his property. He owns it. It’s his! Unless he says “baby please can you check through my texts” you really do not have any right to be checking through his texts. You know, right to privacy and all that!

2.    You may not like what you find. And this doesn’t have to mean texts from or phone calls too other girls. I dated a guy who was a big, strong, tough man – its what appealed to me about him. One day by chance I saw some pics he had on his phone – they were of the cutest little seals. Change my entire view of him. I just kept seeing these little seals every time I looked at him. Of course finding pics and texts involving other women is also a slight problem. So be prepared for what you may find.

3.    You may break the phone. No really unless you are technologically advanced the chances are strong you will break it or somehow send his mother pics of the cute little seals. Or even worse delete everything. It happens people! You will then have to spend all your party money for the next year replacing it. And then explain WHY you were checking his phone!

4.    You could ruin a momentous surprise. He may be planning to propose or a massive surprise birthday party! If you snooping around his phone you may just ruin that for him and for yourself. I love a surprise – in fact I need to be surprised so would not check my partners phone around the time of my birthday or Christmas! If I suspected he was going to produce a ring I also wouldn’t go being nosey. It’s really just not worth it.

5.    Trust – ok this is probably the biggest reason why you shouldn’t check his phone. TRUST! No relationship can survive unless there is trust. If you are busy checking his phone behind his back then you clearly do not trust him and that is a problem. If you suspect something then rather ask him about it.

Five Reasons you SHOULD check his phone

1.    You need to know who his friends are for when you plan his surprise birthday party or when you need gift ideas. Of course you can not ask him for this friends names and numbers – he will then ask why and you will have to tell him (or lie) and then the surprise will be ruined and his birthday will be horrible or you will buy him Charlie Brown socks and he will break up with you. So the only possible solution would be to check this phone!

2.    His ex-girlfriend keeps calling him and you need her number to tell her to leave your man alone. It could apply to his mother (ok this does stem from my fear of Mommas Boys). If other women are harassing your man you need to take action. It’s the way of the world. Its highly unlikely he will just supply you with the details so you have to take action!

3.    You need a number! Simple as that. He has a friend whose number you need – for professional reasons of course. So you would need to check his phone for the number! And the reason he can’t do it is because he is in the shower and you need the number immediately! Or you need a pic he took of you guys to show your friends how cute your man is. He is taking a very long shower so you figure since you checked for the number you may as well check for the pic at the same time?

4.    You don’t trust him. Pretty self-explanatory. He gets phone calls at all hours of the day. He never takes them where you can hear. He gets lots of “wrong number” calls. He takes his phone into the toilet with him. This kind of behaviour definitely requires some snooping! He could just have a demanding top-secret job! Either way you need to know! So check away until you can figure it out. Just prayer he isn’t some top secret agent because if he is you may have to disappear!

5.    You need evidence for a case you are building. You may suspect him of selling pirated dvds or drug smuggling but have no evidence so need to use texts and numbers from his phone to build a strong enough case! Or you are simple trying to prove his is an unfaithful idiot and want as many texts as you can to back you up!

He could be a pirate and you need to build your case.
